Overview
EarnIt ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
Most productivity data in EarnIt stays on your device. We also use limited third-party services for subscriptions, analytics, and ad performance measurement.
Data We Collect
Health Data (Optional)
- Step count from Apple Health
- Workout minutes from Apple Health
This data is used solely to track your progress toward unlocking apps. We do not store this data on any external servers.
Location Data (Optional)
- Your location when you enable location-based routines
Location data is used only to detect when you arrive at or leave specified locations. This data stays on your device.
Screen Time Data
- App usage managed through Apple's Screen Time API
We use Apple's Family Controls framework to block and unblock apps based on your routines. We cannot see which specific apps you use—only the apps you choose to control.
App Usage Data
- Routine completion history
- Lock In session history
- Grace period usage
This data is stored locally on your device to show you your progress and statistics.
Advertising and Analytics Data
- App install/open/session activity
- Event data related to onboarding and subscriptions (for example: paywall viewed, purchase attempts, completed registration, subscribe)
- Technical metadata such as event timestamps, app identifiers, and ATT authorization status
This data may be sent to third-party analytics and ad measurement providers (such as Meta/Facebook) to measure campaign performance and attribution.
How We Use Your Data
We use data to:
- Block and unblock apps based on your routines
- Track your progress toward goals
- Show you statistics about your habits
- Send you optional reminder notifications
- Manage subscriptions and entitlement status
- Measure marketing performance and ad attribution where permitted by your device settings and applicable law
We do NOT:
- Sell your personal data
- Share your raw HealthKit data or precise location history with ad platforms
- Access your personal health information beyond the permissions you grant in iOS
Data Storage
Routine configuration, progress, Health data usage, and location routine data are stored locally on your device using Apple's secure storage mechanisms. If you use iCloud backup, your EarnIt data may be included in your device backup.
We may transmit limited event and subscription metadata to third-party providers for subscription management and ad/analytics measurement.
Third-Party Services
Apple Services
We integrate with Apple's HealthKit, Screen Time, and Location Services. Your use of these services is also governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Subscription Services
Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat. We do not receive your full payment card details.
Analytics and Advertising Measurement
We use Meta/Facebook App Events to measure campaign effectiveness and app conversion events. This may include events like app activation, registration, paywall views, and subscription conversion.
Advertising and Tracking Choices
On iOS, you can choose whether to allow tracking via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- Allow or deny tracking when prompted
- Change this later in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
- Continue using core app features even if you deny tracking
Your Rights
You can:
- Revoke any permissions at any time in iOS Settings
- Delete all your data by uninstalling the app
- Request deletion of data we control with third-party providers where applicable
- Request information about your data by contacting us
Revoking permissions may limit app functionality.
Children's Privacy
EarnIt is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
